HUBBARD WINGSNAPPERS NEWSLETTER JUNE 2008 

 Meeting called to order at 6 pm. There were 8 members present. Pledge Allegiance was led by Dan Scott. Treasurer’s report was approved.
 

OLD BUSINESS:

-Tom, Tom, Glen, and Jim again thanked for their work on the tractor.
-The Fun Fly's are now listed on the AMA website and will be in the next issue of the magazine.

NEW BUSINESS

-Tom Pirlo has found the club a Ford tractor that is in real good shape and will be used as our backup tractor which is greatly needed.
-Just as a suggestion. Dan Scott crashed his plane on the other side of the fence (down by the cows). He went to the owners house, identified himself as a Wingsnappers club member and asked if he could go into the field to retrieve his plane. The owner was very appreciative that he came to the house and asked him if he needed any help. Dan said he should be alright and then retrieved his plane. Even though crashing your plane in the pasture is not recommended, it would be a good idea to approach the landlord's house before you retrieve your plane. 
-Tom Patterson has received permission from the land owner to erect a shelter onto our building. A work party will form on Wed. and Thurs. 6/18 and 6/19 to start this project. Hope is to have it finished by time our first Fly In happens.
-Next year's June meeting will be 1 week earlier, so it doesn't interfere with Father's Day.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE CLUB

-Sue Simion has made the raffle tickets for the first Fun Fly and donated them to the club. They will be mailed to you this week. REMEMBER EVERY CLUB MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO SELL AT LEAST 12 TICKETS ($10 WORTH). If you want more please see Sue.

DUE TO THE FUN FLY BEING ON THE SAME DAY AS THE MEETING, JULY'S MEETING WILL BE 1 WEEK EARLY JULY 13TH.

AND DON'T FORGET THE FUN FLY IS JULY 20TH AND WE WILL NEED HELP FROM ALL CLUB MEMBERS. DON'T FORGET FIRST 25 FLYERS GET A DOOR PRIZE.
